Scott Brown
Brown makes, and plays, rave music of a variety of genres. Although he is most associated with bouncy techno, his music ranges from happy hardcore, through hardcore trance, to gabber. He was heavily involved in the evolution of the UK's hardcore techno scene from the early 1990s, in particular introducing the harder-edged sounds of Belgian and Dutch techno to the UK, and taking the Scottish sounds to Europe. A more detailed background of Brown's music style is given at bouncy techno.

Kaizopocalypse
KAIZOPOCALYPSE - OpDaMyZr the speedrunner fox faces the Kaizopocalypse - an onslaught of extremely hard platformer game levels requiring extreme precision and timing to dodge obstacles! One of the many tracks in my upcoming GLHF album. -- 🔊 Stream this on other sites: hyperfollow.com/moule/kaizopocalypse 🦊 Stream the GLHF album on other sites: hyperfollow.com/moule/glhf-2 👕 Kaizopocalypse Merch: www.redbubble.com/shop/ap/156292863 🎥 Kaizopocalypse Cover Art Timelapse: yewtu.be/watch?v=A8F3LXQ8zV4 -- Kaizopocalypse began production on February 2, 2023 and was finished on December 20, 2023. It's inspired by kaizo games - a subgenre of games, usually platformer, that are extremely difficult and require perfect precision and even use glitches to dodge past an overkill amount of obstacles! More information about kaizo game design: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaizo -- My biggest inspirations for this track were Kaizo Mario levels, especially tool-assisted speed runs such as Item Abuse 3 by PangaeaPanga (yewtu.be/watch?v=JuZMvMtZCWU) and the stunning speedrunning tactics for Super Mario 64 as shown by pannenkoek2012 (pannenkoek2012.fandom.com/wiki/The_pannenkoek2012_Wikia:Home) and Ukikipedia (ukikipedia.net/wiki/Main_Page). All of these have had huge influences on OpDaMyZr! Plus, there's just something so satisfying about watching a character dodge so many obstacles yet not lose a life. -- As for this track's musical inspiration, it's my own style of "power electro" drum and bass music combined with elements of glitch hop and dubstep. It was inspired by Pegboard Nerds, Dream of Omnimaga, and Skrillex! -- As for my mastering, I think it continues to improve. I deliberately put off exporting this track as a WAV and MP3 file for a night so I could make some minor tweaks the next morning which I think really helped. It was challenging to make (much like a kaizo video game level!), but so rewarding to see the final result! -- Let me know what you think on the Fediverse at MASTODON.MOULE.WORLD/@MOULE (or copy and paste @[email protected] into your instance's search bar), or visit MOULE.WORLD for all MOULE links!more

The Labyrinth
THE LABYRINTH - Hard techno and psytrance music! After Lampy revealed the Labyrinth and the mysterious Delcoin addresses to the Cyber Threat Resistance League (CTRL), the hacktivists must hack their way through the heart of Big Crypto's closed-source blockchain patrolled by AI programs to save Delgado! -- 🔊 Stream this on other platforms like YouTube and Spotify: hyperfollow.com/moule/the-labyrinth -- 👕 The Labyrinth Merch: redbubble.com/shop/ap/157838706 -- 🎥 The Labyrinth Cover Art Timelapse: https://yewtu.be/watch?v=GuwiEx_wQJ0 -- 📖 Read about CTRL's mission in The Labyrinth here: https://mastodon.moule.world/@Melody/112302159334975032 -- This track was originally planned to be built on a track I made years ago, but instead I went with working from a copy of Lampy's project file, since this track takes place directly after CTRL discovers Lampy who unveils The Labyrinth to them: a network of addresses on Big Crypto's closed-source, heavily-controlled blockchain. -- My aim was for this track to be strictly hard techno only with atmospheric elements, but a subdued acid arp I added gave this track a cool psytrance feel I just couldn't let go of. It adds to this track's urgent, mystic sort of feel to it as CTRL uncover just how vast the Labyrinth is. -- Some rapid-fire acid squelching sounds were intended as well, but the subdued acid arp sounded really cool and adding more to that would make this track more busier than it is. Also, there's two beats: Hard Bass House (the clear one) and a distorted bass drum that can be heard shortly after each beat – they're not the same drum. I'm especially proud of my mastering in this one! -- This track was heavily inspired by D-Noiser and Michael Da Brain, musicians who made the acid hard techno tracks for the final races of Midnight Club II. The psytrance elements were inspired a lot by the tracks from @sat2199's 2015 Goa Trance Mix that I often play when working out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-cjSMcZp5E -- Let me know what you think on the Fediverse at https://MASTODON.MOULE.WORLD/@MOULE (or copy and paste @[email protected] into your own instance's search bar), or visit https://MOULE.WORLD for all MOULE links!more

HASTY HASTY HASTY HASTY
HASTY HASTY HASTY HASTY - OpDaMyZr's favourite catchphrase, this 60 BPS (3600 BPM) extratone track soundtracks his unimaginable gaming and speedrunning skills as he blasts through levels, exploiting obscure glitches no one else could ever think of to achieve near-impossible world records! One of many tracks in the GLHF album. -- 🔊 Stream this on other sites: distrokid.com/moule/hasty-hasty-hasty-hasty 🦊 Pre-order the GLHF album: hyperfollow.com/moule/glhf-2 👕 HASTY HASTY HASTY HASTY Merch: www.redbubble.com/shop/ap/154479754 🎥 HASTY HASTY HASTY HASTY Cover Art Timelapse: yewtu.be/watch?v=hP_dz4BAcHg -- HASTY HASTY HASTY HASTY (originally titled without spaces) began on March 14, 2023 when I compared my extratone tracks to other people's extratone tracks and thought mine were too slow. The original post about it on Mastodon was automatically deleted, but the reply to it showing an earlier version of this track is still available: mastodon.moule.world/@MOULE/110436481564770718 -- I began making something at 3600 BPM in Logic Pro (225 BPM x 16th arp distorted beats) and made it themed around OpDaMyZr, the speed-running gamer fox of MOULE WORLD achieving some unbelievable feats and unbeatable times in speed-running never thought possible, thanks to exploiting very obscure video game glitches! -- Finishing this track in Logic Pro on December 16, 2023 was annoying since every sound was competing against one another to be the loudest, but oddly exporting it produced a much quieter version of this. I used www.mp3louder.com to increase the volume as my attempts made it more distorted-sounding. -- Let me know what you think on the Fediverse at MASTODON.MOULE.WORLD/@MOULE (or copy and paste @[email protected] into your own instance's search bar), or visit MOULE.WORLD for all MOULE links!more
